In Matthew 9:35-38 Jesus had an urgent compassion to help.
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 “
My question is are you urgently seeking where to help?
People are distressed, anxious and without hope searching for answers. They have no clue where to turn for answers. They have no clue there is hope. They are broken not sure what the future holds. Some are paralyzed and aimless like sheep without a shepherd.Jesus saw this and he had compassion.Do you have an urgent compassion and a desire to participate and be the answer?
Society needs us, but my question is are you still staying in the grandstands as a fan like in a football game wearing the jersey or are you getting in the game and playing? Are you just Cheering in the stands with a big cross on your chest or are you a player to be used by him?
Are you running the race? I want to pray for all of to get in the team and participate and do the dirty work, become involved. Go serve the community, do a radio show, get beat up but get back in the game and win the prize. Not the prize to be on recognized but the prize to know that Jesus will pin the medal on you in heaven because you stood for a great cause.Refuse to just sit back and watch another empty prayer!
Dear Lord I pray that many people find you because of us speaking your truth unaltered down and that because of us many find you and the hope that you offer.I pray that we are used to play not to watch.I know there is a place for all of us to play and I pray that we say yes Lord.We want to receive you as our savior of our eternal lives and that our lives here on earth are not to be unfruitful. But that our lives glorify you so that we win our prize up in heaven. Bless you guys.
Go love, Go serve.
